John Cadence

With over 25 years of experience in the education sector, John Cadence is an accomplished school leader and the driving force behind Cadenza School Leadership Support.

As a former headteacher and school improvement advisor, John has dedicated his career to helping schools thrive and meet the highest standards of excellence.

He has successfully led and supported multiple schools through challenging inspections and knows first-hand what it takes to secure positive outcomes in high-pressure situations.

At Cadenza, John brings his wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to support school leaders in preparing for Ofsted inspections with confidence. His resources and guidance are grounded in years of practical experience, ensuring that school leaders receive the expert advice they need to meet regulatory expectations and lead effectively.

Outside of his professional work, John lives in rural Cambridgeshire with his wife and their two labradors, Max and Millie. He is immensely proud of his two daughters, Amy and Charlie. Amy has followed in John's footsteps and currently works as an assistant head in a local special school while Charlie works in administration, customer support and marketing for Cadenza School Leadership Partners after a successful publishing career in London. Outside of his family life, John loves music and has recently taken up the cello. He is also a keen fan of motorsport, especially the McLaren Formula One team.​​

Charlie Bennett

Charlie brings a diverse skill set and a background in publishing to her role at Cadenza School Leadership Support. Before joining the team, Charlie worked in London, where she honed her expertise in communication, marketing, and client relations. Her attention to detail and ability to manage complex projects have made her an invaluable asset to the company.

Charlie studied English Literature at the University of Bath, where she developed a love for language and storytelling. After completing her degree, she spent several years in the publishing industry, overseeing marketing campaigns and editorial processes for some of the UK’s most renowned authors. 

​

In her role at Cadenza, Charlie oversees administration, marketing initiatives, and customer support. She is the first point of contact for school leaders, and her friendly and efficient approach ensures that every interaction reflects Cadenza’s commitment to excellence.

Charlie is married to her husband, Tom, and they have one fur baby, a Ragdoll cat named Tiddles. When she’s not at work, she enjoys crafting, cooking, writing and reading, and one day hopes to publish a book of her very own.
