They are written by John Cadence, a former headteacher with over 20 years' experience in different school leadership positions, including working as an executive head of two federated primary settings. For the last 4 years, John has worked as a school improvement advisor and also ran his own educational consultancy company. John's wealth of experience in school leadership, school improvement and Ofsted is poured into the guidance in the packs.

The templates provided are all Microsoft Word documents (.docx), so they can be opened and customised using standard word processing software, such as Office 365, and the free Word web app. It is also possible to open the files in Google Docs but please note that if doing this, you may experience issues with the alignment/layout of some of the documents. The digital download comes zipped (.ZIP file) so ensure that your device has the facility to open this.
