What do other schools say?

Eastbourne College England

"The primary pack is like having an expert advisor by your side! I knew that our quality of education was strong but the pack helped us to firm up where we were weaker. When Ofsted came, they were satisfied by the level of detail in our plans for continuous improvement to address our weaker areas (behaviour) - I've no doubt that the outcome of our inspection would have been worse if not for the support available in this pack. Totally worth it!"

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is included in the pack?
The pack contains over 90 pages of expert guidance in an interactive PDF format. This means you can either print the guidance to work from it as a paper copy or use the interactive text boxes to type notes on any reflections you have. The 70+ editable templates are all individual Microsoft Word Documents (.docx). They covers all key areas of the Ofsted inspection process, including deep dives, safeguarding, SEND, governance, audits across the EIF, and more.
  • Once we purchase, how quickly can we start using the pack?
You can start using the pack immediately after purchase if paying by card. It’s delivered via digital download, so there’s no waiting time. Everything you need is ready to go as soon as you download the files.
  • Are the templates customisable?
Yes, all templates are fully editable and can be tailored to suit your school's specific needs. You can adapt them for your context, saving you time while ensuring compliance.
  • Can the pack be used by both primary and secondary schools?
Absolutely. We offer two versions of the pack – one tailored for primary schools and one for secondary schools. Each version is designed to address the specific challenges and requirements of the respective phase.
  • Is this pack suitable for subject leaders and senior leaders?
The pack is suitable for supporting both subject leaders and senior leaders. The pack provides deep dives for every national curriculum subject, making it an invaluable resource for subject leaders. Senior leaders will benefit from the strategic guidance, audits, and leadership tools.
  • Can we share the pack across our leadership team?
Yes, we encourage you to share the resources with your leadership team. The pack is designed to support collaborative preparation, ensuring everyone is aligned and ready for the inspection. However as per our terms and conditions, you may not share the product beyond your immediate organisation.
  • Is this pack suitable for schools at different stages of Ofsted preparation?
Yes! Whether you’re just starting your preparation or refining your final details, the pack provides tools and guidance for every stage of the process. It’s designed to be flexible and support schools at various points in their journey.
  • Does the pack cover the latest Ofsted requirements?
Absolutely. The pack was last updated following the September 2024 changes to the Schools Inspection Handbook.
  • How do I know that the information in the pack is accurate?
Both packs have been prepared using all of the documentation that Ofsted publish, such as the Education Inspection Framework, School Inspection Handbook and School Monitoring Handbook. These documents form the basis of how inspectors inspect schools and all of Cadenza's content is aligned with these. They are written by John Cadence, a former headteacher with over 20 years' experience in different school leadership positions, including working as an executive head of two federated primary settings. For the last 4 years, John has worked as a school improvement advisor and also ran his own educational consultancy company. John's wealth of experience in school leadership, school improvement and Ofsted is poured into the guidance in the packs.
  • Is the pack relevant for schools with different contexts, e.g. MATs, academies, and LA schools?
Yes, the pack is designed to be relevant for a wide range of school contexts, including multi-academy trusts (MATs), academies, and local authority (LA) maintained schools. The guidance and templates can be adapted to fit your specific organisational structure and where there are differences to the inspection process because of school type (e.g. the information requested in the Ofsted phone call), these are explained clearly in the guidance and on the templates.
  • What if I'm not due an Ofsted inspection? Can this pack help with ongoing school improvement?
Yes! While the pack is focused on Ofsted preparation, the majority of the resources and templates are designed to support continuous school improvement beyond inspection. The audits, leadership tools, and subject deep dives will help you maintain high standards in your school.
  • Is the pack suitable for smaller schools with fewer resources?
Yes, because schools are inspected under the EIF regardless of their number of pupils on roll. The pack is designed to streamline preparation and make it more manageable, regardless of your school’s size. The editable templates and clear guidance allow smaller schools to make the most of their resources and focus on key priorities.
  • How long will it take to go through the pack and implement the resources?
The pack is structured so you can work through it at your own pace. Some schools may choose to implement resources over a few weeks, while others may prioritise certain sections in the run-up to inspection. The guidance is practical, so you can quickly start applying it where it’s needed most.
  • How will I receive the pack?
Once purchased via card, you will receive an immediate digital download via email. This will be a ZIP file that you can save to an appropriate place on your own device. Once you've done this, you can access the materials straight away and start preparing without delay. Please ensure that your email address is correct when you order.
  • How do I purchase the pack?
You can purchase the pack directly through our website. Simply choose the version (primary or secondary), add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout. We accept all major cards and secure payment methods.
  • Can my school pay by invoice instead of with a card?
We can accommodate schools that prefer to pay by invoice but please note that the process of purchase and delivery is much quicker if schools pay by card. Due to the digital nature and value of the pack contents, we can only send your school the digital files once payment has been received. For schools wishing to pay by invoice, please utilise the form located here.
  • I need to set you up as a new supplier. Please can I have your details?
Yes, please use the contact form and we will be happy to fill in any information you need.
  • Is there a return or refund policy?
Due to the digital nature of the product, we do not offer refunds once the pack has been downloaded. However, if you encounter any issues with your purchase, please contact us and we’ll work to resolve the problem. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
  • Do you provide VAT receipts?
Cadenza School Leadership Partners is not VAT registered therefore we do not provide VAT receipts to schools as no VAT is charged.
  • Do I need any special software to use the templates?
No special software is required. You may need a program such as Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the PDF file but your web browser will likely be able to open the PDF for you. The templates provided are all Microsoft Word documents (.docx), so they can be opened and customised using standard word processing software, such as Office 365, and the free Word web app. It is also possible to open the files in Google Docs but please note that if doing this, you may experience issues with the alignment/layout of some of the documents. The digital download comes zipped (.ZIP file) so ensure that your device has the facility to open this.
  • How do I access my download if I lose the email?
If you lose the download email, simply contact us with your order details, and we’ll resend the download link to you.
